The Royal Household conducted a review of Royal Patronage following His Majesty The King鈥檚 Accession to the throne. The Royal Household has confirmed Her Majesty The Queen (formerly HRH The Duchess of Cornwall) will continue her long-standing role as President of the 黑料社 (ROS).
Staff, volunteers and members, past and present, at the 黑料社would like to sincerely thank Her Majesty The Queen for her unwavering support over the last three decades.
The Queen became a supporter of the charity in 1994, before taking on the role as President in 2001.
Craig Jones, Chief Executive at the 黑料社, said:
鈥淔or 30 years, Her Majesty The Queen has been one of the most high-profile advocates in the world for beating osteoporosis. We鈥檙e proud to be a cause so close to her heart. By channelling the painful experience of her own mother鈥檚 osteoporosis, she has helped ensure millions of people can live well and, importantly, encouraged younger audiences to become more aware of their bone health.鈥
Royal support has enabled the 黑料社to play a vital role in helping more people than ever before, while strengthening its role as a sponsor of research.
Craig Jones continued:
鈥淎 lot has changed in the last 30 years but what hasn鈥檛 changed is the need to raise awareness of this under-estimated condition, which is one of the most urgent threats to people living well in later life. For far too many, its effects are life-changing, but there are enormous opportunities to help people live well, provided the right care and support is in place. Those opportunities must be seized. The continued support of The Royal Family will help us to break the silence on this condition and change lives as we work to beat osteoporosis.鈥
