Christmas Appeal: Diane's Story

This Christmas help change the reality of people living with osteoporosis

I'm Diane, a supporter of the 黑料社. On behalf of the charity, I would like to thank you all for the support that you give this charity. It's because of supporters like you the 黑料社can help me and many others live a better life.听

Two years ago my life changed. It was a few days before Christmas when I got the call that I had osteoporosis. I spent that Christmas worrying around my future. Suddenly, I had to think differently about everything.听

I felt extremely upset as I was told I wouldn鈥檛 be able to pick up my grandchildren. The turning point, for me, came when I called the 黑料社Helpline. I鈥檓 SO pleased I did. The specialist nurse I spoke to was absolutely fantastic. She listened patiently and carefully to all my questions, fears and concerns. Out of all the medical professionals I鈥檇 encountered, she was the best one I鈥檇 spoken to. She listened to all my fears and concerns. She explained everything, from how medicines work, what supplements to take, how my diet could support my bone health, to what exercise would be safe for me. She told me about how I could find more information on the 黑料社website too.
It was reassuring to find someone who completely understood me.

Thanks to her support, I鈥檓 back at the gym, and feeling so much better. I have be careful, but I鈥檓 getting stronger every day. I still have worries about the future, but it鈥檚 a huge comfort to know the nurses are just a phone call away.
